Ionia Daily Standard, 6 May 1898

Mrs. Sarah McCowen, for many years a resident here, died at her home April 25.  She
was laid to rest beside her infant son, in the Letz cemetery.  She leaves three
daughters and several grandchildren to mourn her loss.

Mr. Gordon Marble, called here by the death of his sister, Mrs. McCowen, returned
Tuesday to his home in New York state.
