McCoy, aged 52, an old resident of Orange township, died suddenly at the home in Orange township Tuesday evening at 11:00 o’clock. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Delena McCoy, two brothers, Frank and Sam McCoy; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Mintuck of Morley, Mrs. Nellie Fleming of Idaho, Mrs. Hattie Hull and Mrs. Lillie Bliss of Ionia. Funeral at residence Friday afternoon at 1; interment in Balcom cemetery, Rev. Buckner officiating. Mr. McCoy was a member of West Sebewa lodge of Oddfellows who will have charge of the services. Subsequent Publication: Monday, May 26, 1919 The funeral for James E. McCoy held Friday afternoon at the residence in Orange, was very largely attended and the flowers were many and very beautiful. The bearers were Harry Milstead, S. L. Kauffman, D. A. Creighton, Seymour Gates, Geo. Greenman, and William Thorpe, all members of the I.O.O.F. of Sebewa, under whose direction the services were conducted. The music was furnished by George Goodemoote and Ben Hazzard. Rev. C. C. Buckner officiated and the burial was in the Balcom cemetery. There were 52 cars in the procession.
