Has Made Home at Burke Hotel and With Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lake. Chas. McCoy one of the “land marks” of Lake Odessa died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lake Monday. For many years Mr. and Mrs. McCoy had a restaurant on main street. Several years ago Mrs. McCoy died and Mr. McCoy went to live with his daughter, Mrs. Guy Lake, at Climax. But the old soldier was more at home in his home town and returned. Taking up his abode at the Hotel Burke. After a year or two here he went to live in the Charles Lake home on Main street where he died after a few days illness. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. G. J. Start preaching and the singing was by Geo. Kart and Leon Gilson, Mrs. Thos. Johnson accompanying. Burial was at Lake Side cemetery.
