Lewis E. McCoy, 66, of Ionia died Tuesday Dec. 13 at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.  He was born the son of Robert and Grace Myrl Rowley McCoy Sr. on 
May 3, 1922, in Ionia.  He attended schools in Ionia.  He worked as a painter 
at General Motors in Lansing and was a member of the VFW Sheridan Post.

He is survived by three sons, John of Pennsylvania, Terry of Ionia and Randy 
of Orleans; two daughters, Vicki Rininger of Ionia and Debbie Powell of 
Orleans; 14 grandchildren; one half-sister, Fern Montgomery of Ionia; one 
brother, Robert Jr. of Ionia, and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia 
with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will be in the Easton 
cemetery.  Visiting hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
8:30 p.m. at the Rich Street Chapel.  A memorial has been established for the 
American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
