Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Dec. 12, 1980


MESOSTA – Myrl McCoy of 6159 Madison Ave., Mecosta, Mich. died Wednesday at 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 26, 1902 in Easton Township.

She retired from General Tire in 1968.

In 1933 she married Robert McCoy Sr., and he preceded her in death Dec. 29, 
1978.

After retiring they made their home at Tubbs Lake.

Survivors include two sons, Lewis and Robert of Ionia, one daughter, Mrs. Fern 
Montgomery; one brother, Lyle Rowley of Gowen; three sisters, Irva Rhodes of 
Oregon, Alice Sedick of Tubbs Lake and Lucille Sanders of Greenville; 12 
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Ronald Dow from the First Christian Church officiating. Burial in 
Easton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial for Ionia County Memorial Hospital has been established.
