Alexander McCoy, 87, died Tuesday morning, September 18 at 9:10 at the home of 
his son, Robert McCoy, 539 Price street after a two week illness.

He was born June 27, 1896 in Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mack McCoy. After 
moving to Michigan, he first resided in McBain and 35 years ago, moved to 
Ionia. He was employed for a number of years by the Ionia Bottling Works and 
later by the Banhagel Construction Co.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lottie Knickrehm and a son, Robert S. McCoy of 
Ionia; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister; Mrs. Edith 
McCann of Grand Rapids and a brother, Dennis McCoy of DeWitt, Ark.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, September 20 at 2:30 at 
the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. The Rev. Heath Goodwin will officiate and 
interment will be in Easton cemetery.
