Sentinel-Std. - Saturday Nov. 9, 1940

Funeral services for Samuel McCoy, 70-year-old Ionian, who died at his home 
Tuesday morning; were held Friday afternoon from the Church of Christ at 2 p.m. 
Prayer services were held from the house at 1:30 p.m. Officiating ministers 
were Rev. F.G. Dunbar, Re. C.A. Brady of Ionia, and Rev. A.D. Telder of Clare.

Bearers were Ted Bloomer, George Comstock, Dale Kauffman, George White, Fred 
Williams and George Almy. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. L.D. 
Benedict and Mrs. Carrie Berger. Mrs. Ted Bloomer played organ music.

Interment was held at the Tuttle cemetery.
