Portland Review - Jan. 1996


Barbara A. McCrumb, 46, of Portland died Jan. 17, 1996.

Mrs. McCrumb was born in Lansing Aug. 29, 1949, the daughter of James and 
Virginia (Harvey) Mitchell.

She was a former employee of Candlewicks of Portland. She also worked for Dr. 
Davis Ferrel and The Medical Business Services of Lansing. 

Survivors include her husband, Walter, two daughters, Kim (Dave) Kelley of 
Okemos and Keri McCrumb of Portland, mother, Virginia Mitchell of Portland, one 
sister, Linda Schaefer of Bradford, Tenn,; one brother, Jeffery Mitchell (Tracy 
Johnston) of Mulliken; mother-in-law, Doris McCrumb of Lansing; one sister-in-
law, Carol Steinbrecker of Grand Rapids; special aunt, Lorene (DeeDee) 
Moorehead of Paris, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services were held Jan. 20 at Peters and Murray Funeral Home in Grand ledge 
with Rev. W.J. Amundsen of the Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church 
officiating. Interment followed at North Eagle Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer 
research.
