Portland Review - Oct. 22, 1990


Arden R. McCrumb, 70, of Portland died Oct. 9, 1990, at his home.

He was born in Danby Township on Feb. 16, 1920, the son of Ford and Estella 
Graft McCrumb.

He was veteran of World War II, with service in the U.S. Navy. He was a member 
of the VFW Post 4090, the Portland Masonic Lodge #31, F. & A.M., Portland 
United Methodist Church, Portland Lions Club, and was a past board member and 
president of Portland Board of Education. 

Surviving are his wife, Valliere; one son, Dr. Dennis McCrumb of Marcellus; two 
grandsons; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Debo of Bay City; his mother, Estella 
McCrumb of Portland; and two sisters, Arlene Rice and jean Hinds, both of 
Portland.

One daughter, Sandra, and one son, Gary preceded him in death.

Services were held at the Neller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stanley Finkbeiner 
of Portland United Methodist Church officiating.
