McCusker, age 65, of Saranac, and Tucson, Arizona, passed away November 9, 2005 in Tucson, AZ, after a rewarding life. She was born October 16, 1940 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Richard and Helen (Hoekstra) DeVries. Frances graduated from Belding High School in 1956. She married her soul mate Donald McCusker, February 7, 1959. She then began her career of raising their two children. She was so successful in her career of being a mother, that everyone she touched called her mom or friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald E. McCusker; daughter, Camilla and Glen Thornburg of Dover, Delaware; son, Irvin (Gene) McCusker of New Castle, IN; Honorary son, David Boots of New Castle, IN; brother Richard and Ruth DeVries of Caledonia; sister, Marlene (Kay) DeVries of Cedar Springs; sister-in-law, Jane DeVries of Lowell; brother-in-law, Robert Boogaard of Cedar Springs; grandchildren, Daniel (Ross) Green, Donald (Kris) McCusker, Amanda Nicole McCusker, Daniel Thornburg, David Thornburg, Brandon Thornburg, Elizabeth Thornburg and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Frederick DeVries and sister, Lorraine Boogaard. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today at Ada Community Reformed Church with Pastor Julie VanDerVeen-VanTil officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery.
