Helen McDaniels, 90, of Mulliken, died Sept. 3, 2005 at her home following a 
long illness.  Mrs. McDaniels was born in Portland Jan. 12, 1915, a daughter 
of Harvey V. and Helena (Meyers) Lumbert.  She had been employed by REO, 
Fisher Body and Lansing Stamping.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Harold; daughters, Rosemarie (David) 
Nickel of Mulliken, Joanne (Leonard) Brown of Sunfield, Julia McDaniels of 
Brighton; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sept. 6 at the Mulliken United Methodist Church with Pastor 
Judy Scholten officiating.  Interment was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.  
Arrangements were handled by the Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken.  
Pallbearers were Robert, Chris and Gene Closson, Faith Ann Colegrove, Cherie 
McDaniels, David Nickel, Denise Simpson and Bradley Wilson.  Contributions may 
be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan—Hospice.
