Walter E. McDaniel, 76, of Riverside, Calif., formerly of Lake Odessa, died 
Thursday, Jan. 5, at Riverside Parkview Hospital in Riverside, Calif.  Services 
were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens Koops Chapel in Lake Odessa.  Rev. 
Ralph Tingley of the Maple Grove Baptist Church of Lansing officiated and 
burial was in Deep Dale Cemetery, Lansing.

He was born May 13, 1901 in Talbot, Ind.  He attended Talbot schools.  He 
married the former Edith Bolinger in Lansing in 1925.  He lived in Lansing from 
1924 to 1966 when they moved to Lake Odessa.  They moved to California in 
1975.  He worked for the Federal Drop Forge in Lansing for 20 years and Motor 
Wheel in Lansing for 19 years.

Surviving are his wife, Edith; three sons, Eugene and Richard of Lansing and 
Roger of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Barbara) Giffen of 
Lansing, Mrs. Dale (Mildred) Jennings of Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Dave 
(Karen) Brace of Sunfield; two brothers, Lawrence of St. Clair Shores and 
William of Lansing; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Ellen?) Mangus of…
