Lee A. McDiarmid

Lee A. McDiarmid, age 75 , of Lake Odessa passed away on May 4, 2021 in is home 
surrounded by his family after fighting a long battle with kidney failure and a 
short bout with cancer.

Lee was born on May 9, 945 in Lake Odessa to Voight and Marguerite (Green) 
McDiarmid. On October 3, 1964 he married the love of his life Frances Smith and 
spent 56 years together.Lee wa a proud graduate of Lake Odessa High School class 
of 1963. He retired as a Team Leader from GM in 1994. For many years he was the 
go to guy to fix diesels for friends and family.

Lee was a very outdoors kinda of guy, loved to watch things grow whether plant 
or animal. Lee's sense of humor and quick wit will be dearly missed.

He will be missed by his wife, Frances; children, Julie (Zigmond Clark) 
McDiarmid and Gail (Geroma Green Jr.) McDiarmid; six grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren with two more on the way, four sisters and many  nieces and 
nephews.

Preceding Lee in death are his parents, both in-laws, one sister and one  
nephew.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held 
at this time, but his life will be celebrated at a later date.

Memorials can be made in Lee's name to the American Kidney Foundation, Sunfield 
or Lake Odessa Fire Department.
