                        VOIGHT D. McDIARMID

LAKE ODESSA - Voight D. McDiarmid, 81, of Route 3, died Friday in the Lowell 
Medical Care Facility.

Born Sept. 1, 1904, in Odessa Township, he was the son of Elias and Rosa 
Shellenbarger McDiarmid. He attended Sunfield schools and was employed by the 
C&O Railroad, retiring in 1964. He was also a farmer in the Lake Odessa/Sunfield 
area.

Surviving are his wife Marguarite; six daughters, Judy Barryo of Sumner, Shirley
Edwards of Clarksville, Rosemary Miller of Gaylord, Susan Rogers of Portland, 
Peggy Johnson of Lake Odessa and Hope Metzgar of Hastings; two sons, Milan of 
Laingsbury and Lee of Lake Odessa; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 
two brothers, Niles of Grand Ledge and Dale of Lake Odessa; and one sister, 
Angeline Godfrey of Lake Odessa.

Two sons, Clyde and DeWitt; brothers, a sister, a grandson and a great-great-
granddaughter also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, 
with the Rev. George Speas officiating.

Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery Mulliken.
