Funeral services for Bert McDonald, 84, of Bonanza road, Lake Odessa, will be 
Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake Odessa, Rev. 
Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.

Mr. McDonald died about midnight Wednesday in a fire which destroyed his home.

Born September 22, 1889 in Ionia county he was the son of David and Mary Smith 
McDonald.  He attended school at Lake Odessa.  He was a retired farmer and 
lifelong resident of the area.

His only survivors are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Vertie McDonald of Lake Odessa, 
and nieces and nephews.
