Ionia Standard, 4 Dec 1885

Patrick McDonald, of Lyons, was accidentally killed at Muir Wednesday night.  He 
was returning home from Ionia, and his horse ran off the embankment near the 
residence of C.T. Cadwell.  McDonald was thrown out of the buggy breaking his 
neck, and of course killing him instantly.  He leaves a wife and daughter.
