L. McDonald, aged 58 years, who resides at 829 West Main street, died yesterday morning at 6:30 o’clock. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30, from the residence. The remains will be taken Friday morning on the 7 o’clock train to McBrides for interment. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, March 15, 1900 The funeral of Geo. McDonald was held at the family home, 829 West Main street, Thursday afternoon. The singing service was by Mrs. Eugene Smith, Mrs. Sylvester Allured and Mr. Baker. Officiating minister, Rev. Alex. W. Dodge, who preached from the test, “The day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth.” Ecc. 7:1. Mr. McDonald is spoke of as an excellent man in every respect, who had lived a most exemplary life, having been an earnest Christian and member of the Baptist church, 34 years. He leaves his widow and two children to mourn his death.
