Ionia Sentinel - December 8 1956
Mrs. Alice D. McDonald, 61, of route one, Saranac, died Saturday morning.  She 
was born April 25, 1895 in Grand Rapids.  Surviving are her husband, George and 
one son, Ralph of Saranac; two daughters, Mrs Helen Thue, Grand Rapids and Mrs 
Dorothy Kopeland, Independence, Mo., and one brother, Clarence Jones of Grand 
Rapids.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Morris 
funeral home and interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial cemetery, Grand 
Rapids.  Bearers will be Roy Weaver of Grand Rapids, Thad Wigfield, Claude 
Harter and Earl Harter of Saranac, Fred Higley of Lyons, and Charles Marvin of 
Clarksville.
