Oct. 23, 1918 Clifford Ovid McDonald died at his home, 120 Rich street, on Tuesday evening at 10:00 o'clock, from pneumonia following influenza- the first death from pneumonia following influenza - the first death from that cause during this epidemic in Ionia. Deceased was twenty-five years old, and had been a resident of Ionia about four and a half years, working for the Ypsilanti Reed Company for that length of time as a departmental foreman. The funeral will be held at the residence at 2:00 o'clock Thursday, with Rev. C.C. Buckner in charge. Interment in Highland Park. The funeral service will be private, according to ruling of the State Board of Health. Additional Comments: Funeral: Thurs.
