Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Sep 1971

A retired Lake Odessa farmer, Frank R. McDonald, 85, died at his home Tuesday
evening following an extended illness.

Born at Stanton, March 8, 1886, he was the son of David and Mary Smith McDonald.
 He moved to Lake Odessa area in 1903.  December 3, 1913, he was married to
Vertie Catt and she survives as does a brother, Bert of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake
Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside
cemetery.
