Many sweet memories remain to console the sorrowing mother and sister. Lydia's unselfish solicitude for them in their trouble was often evidenced during the last sad days, when the dread of coming separation oppressed their hearts. With triumphant confidence in immortality and faith in our Lord, she looked forward to meeting the loved who have passed on. The pangs of acute pleurisy, from which she suffered, were borne with wonderful bravery; yet quite as wonderful was her prefect resignation to God's will when at last the struggle was over. It seemed fitting that, after a quiet talk with those near, she should fall asleep like a child some hours ere her soul was freed. Funeral services were Saturday morning at the Catholic church; burial at Ionia. Additional Comments: Services: Saturday, 11 July, 1903 Mt.
