Ionia Sentinel Standard, 8 Feb 1960

John A. McDonald, 80, died Sunday afternoon at his residence, 6875 Kalamazoo avenue
SE, Caledonia.  He was a former Ionia resident and retired steam fitter for Pere
Marquette Railroad shops.  His wife, Fern, died 12 years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Ray and Foy McDonald of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Mrs.
F.C. Bissell of Caledonia; three brothers, William of Ionia, Frank and Burt of Lake
Odessa; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home with burial in
the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
