Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the house and 2:30 from the Ionia Church of Christ with Rev. A.T. Luther in charge of the services. Burial was in the family lot in the Tuttle cemetery. Mr. McDowl was a native of Ireland and came to this country when a youth of 15 years, settling in Ionia county, where he has since lived. He was employed in the Pere Marquette car shops and was a member of the Modern Woodmen. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Mrs. Sarah Manos, William McDowl, Russell McDowel, Mrs. Mildred Stull, Harry McDowl, Doris McDowl and Robert McDowl, all of Ionia.
