Floy McFarlane, daughter of Alexander and Dora E. McFarlane, peacefully died surrounded by loving relatives at 11 o’clock, Tuesday, amid the fragrance of a room filled with flowers sent by sympathizing friends. “A gentler, more helpful spirit never passed into the heavenly portals,” is the tribute paid by an intimate friend. Miss McFarlane was born at Lyons, Mich., and came to Canon City with her parents to reside 18 years ago. She is survived by her parents, a twin brother and one sister. She was a member of the Episcopal church. From Canon City Clipper Oct. 13. The funeral service over the remains of Miss Floy E. McFarlane, who passed away on the 6th inst., was held at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. McFarlane, 819 Main street on Friday. There was a great profusion of the most beautiful flowers, sweet tokens of the loving hearts of relatives and friends. A large concourse of friends assembled at the funeral to pay their last, loving respect to the remains of their friend who had left them. Of frail physique during all the years of her stay in this world, she bore her weakness with such cheerful resignation that she endeared herself to all who knew her.
