Thos. McGannon, a prominent business man of Ionia and owner of the Walk-Over Shoe 
store there for the past twenty years, died early yesterday morning in St. Mary’s 
hospital in Grand Rapids, where he had undergone two operations.  He had been in 
poor health the past three months.  He is survived by a widow and eight 
children.  Funeral services will be held Friday morning at nine o’clock from the 
church of SS. Peter & Paul, and interment made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
