H. Hearsey, of East Main street, where she has made her home. Mrs. McGannon has been a semi-invalid for several years, having suffered several shocks of paralytic nature. She was born in Innis, county Clare, Ireland, and came to this country when 25 years of age, and has lived here continuously the intervening 52 years. She leaves two children, Mrs. W. H. Hearsey and Thomas McGannon, both of this city. Deceased was peculiarly a home-loving woman, and her best endeavors were given to her home and her children. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o’clock from SS. Peter & Paul’s church. Ionia Daily Sentinel, 30 Sep 1918 The funeral for Mrs. Bridget McGannon was held this morning at the church of SS. Peter & Paul, at nine o’clock. The bearers were Fred Chapman, T. A. Carten, J. A. Holbrook, Alex McAllery, Ed Gallagher and William Barrett. Fr. Gabriel officiated. Those from out of town to attend were Mr. and Mrs. McGowan, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Grace, Mr. and Mrs. William McGowan and Mrs. Kilduff and son of Carson City. The funeral was largely attended in respect for this time honored pioneer.
