The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 19, 1898

Annie E., wife of Samuel McGeary, died at eight o’clock on Sunday morning.  
She was aged 61 years and 4 months.  Deceased came to Ionia about 25 years 
ago, and has resided here continuously since.  She leaves to mourn her death 
the husband, and five children: Milton, James, John, Frank and Jennie, to whom 
she was ever a good mother.

Funeral will be attended from the home, 829West Main, on Tuesday afternoon at 
2 o’clock and interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.  Mrs. McGeary was a 
member of the Presbyterian church society, and the funeral service will be by 
Rev. Dr. Oxtoby.
