The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 29, 1909

Samuel McGeary, who suffered a stroke of paralysis last Friday, died at the 
home of his son James, at 3:30 o’clock this morning.  He was aged 76 years, 
and had been a resident of Ionia since 1874, coming here from Pittsburg.  His 
wife died seven or eight years ago.  Four children survive: Milton M., and 
James A., Ionia; Frank, California, and Mrs. Jennie Rushmore of Denver.  
Funeral service will be at the residence of his son, James A., on Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.
