She had been dead about three hours. Four gas burners of a kitchen range were found open when she was discovered sitting in a rocking chair. Coroner Harry Myers and Sheriff Herbert K. Ross, who investigated, said an inquest would not be necessary. Her husband, James, Sr., died about two years ago. She is survived by the son and one brother, George Lepper, of Chicago. Mrs. McGeary was born in South Ionia and was a member of the Royal Neighbors club. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 16, at 2:30 o’clock from the Myers funeral home. Rev. H.A. Simpson will officiate and interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Ionia.
