Lylia M. McGeary, 73, of 24 Stevenson Place died Saturday at Ionia Manor.  She was
born Oct. 26, 1908, in Muir, the daughter of Edward and Lulu Townsend Elvert.  

She was married July 24, 1937, in Muir to James McGeary and lived most of her life
in the Ionia area.  She was employed by the Lee Ann Shoppe and the Quality Discount
Store in Ionia, and was a member of Ionia First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Pierce, of Ionia; nieces
and nephews and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
 A memorial for Ionia First United Methodist Church has been established, in the
care of the funeral home.
