Zarold A. McGee, 72, of 313 N. Jefferson St., Ionia, died Tuesday at 
Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.  He was born April 12, 1909 in Grand 
Rapids, the son of William and Myrtle (Greenhoe) McGee.  He moved to Ionia and 
attended schools here.  He worked at Ypsilanti Reed.  He also served with the 
Army in Italy and Africa in World War II.  He married Doralee Rich November 
27, 1947.  They made their home in Ionia since their marriage.  He retired 
from Fisher Body May 1, 1970.  He attended the Nazarene church in Ionia.

Surviving are: his wife; one daughter Mrs. Gregg (Phyllis) Sherman, of Evart; 
two brothers, Stanley of Ionia, and Gordon, of Bella Vista, Calif.; two 
grandchildren. 

Services will be Friday 1 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home with the Rev. Kirk 
Starkweather of the Ionia Church of the Nazarene officiating.  Burial will be 
in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan.  Friends may call at the funeral home today 
and Thursday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.  Memorials 
can be made to the Ionia Church of the Nazarene.

Services were held for Zarold A. McGee, 72, of Ionia on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in 
Leddick Funeral Home with the Rev. Kirk Starkweather of the Ionia Church of 
the Nazarene officiating.  The organist was Mrs. Josephine Barna.  Pallbearers 
were Harold Rich Jr., Gerald Rich, Steve Rich, David Holcomb, Gary Holcomb and 
Michael Beadle.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan.  A luncheon was served to family 
and friends in the Ionia Nazarene Church.
