She suffered a broken hip in a fall at her home July 27, 1952, and a paralytic stroke December 18, 1956, since which time she has remained very ill. Mrs. McGinn was born at Brantford, Ontario, Canada, February 28, 1877. She married James T. McGinn at Carson City New Years eve, 1895. He passed away in 1932. Mrs. McGinn served as a house mother for a fraternity on the Michigan State University Campus until 1940 when she came to Hubbardston to live. She was a member of the Hubbardston Methodist church. Funeral services were held from the Burns-Gunther Funeral home here Friday afternoon, January 4, at 2, with interment in the Carson City cemetery. Rev. Harold Cox, pastor of the Hubbardston Methodist church, officiated. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Chester Martin of St. Louis, Mich.; a son, Edward, of Evanston, Ill.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harry Schultz; and a brother, Ney Tansley, both of Grand Ledge.
