Jan. 4, 2016 MARION JOYCE MCGINN 1934-2016 Marion Joyce McGinn, age 82, of Hubbardston passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at the Carson City Hospital. Marion was born Nov. 17, 1934 in Gratiot county, the oldest daughter of Carl and Edith (Hankins) Roberts. She graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1953. Marion married James "Bish" McGinn on Aug. 21, 1954 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Marion worked various jobs, driving school bus for Carson City schools and at the Video Shack in Fowler that her son owned. Marion was a member of the St.John the Baptist church, the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed attending the Hubbardston Historical Society meetings. Every year she hosted the Memorial day family gathering. Marion enjoyed doing genealogy, camping, storytelling at bonfires, collecting teapots and painting. She is survived by her children Michael (Cindy) McGinn, Karen (Mike) Crystal, James (Satina Pavia) McGinn II, Kevin McGinn, eight grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and siblings Eileen (Joe) Procunier, Carleen Schmidt, Sharon (Bernard) Datema, Hugh Roberts and Ron (Janet) Roberts. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant daughter Sharon McGinn. A Mass of christian burial will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston with Fr. Joe Kenshol Celebrating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
