Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Sep 2002

Donna L. McGinn-Cunningham, 72, of Ionia went to be with the Lord on Sept. 20,
2002 at her home.  She was born Jan. 30, 1930 in Alma, the daughter of Russell
and Dorothy (Spurgeon) Roberts.  Donna was a member of SS Peter and Paul
Catholic Church in Ionia for over 50 years.  She was also a member of the Ionia
Women of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George McGinn; and mother, Dorothy
Phillips.  Surviving are her husband, Elmer Cunningham; and her children, Sheryl
(John) Rutherford, Russell (Shirley) McGinn, Nancy Barker, Mark (Linda) McGinn,
Steven McGinn and Christopher McGinn; grandchildren, Roger, Sarah, Carrie,
Angie, Johnny, Jarrod, Matthew, James, Kristan and Jonathan; and
great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Alyssa and Trenton.  She also loved
Elmer’s children and grandchildren; brothers, John (Sandy) Phillips and Jim
(Millie) Roberts.

The mass of Christian burial was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Melvin Fox, Pastor
on Tuesday at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Rite of committal took place
on Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Hubbardston.  The family
received friends and family on Sunday and Monday at the Cook Funeral Home of
Ionia, Rich Street Chapel.  A rosary was prayed on Monday.  For those desiring,
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice or to the SS Peter
and Paul Catholic Church.
