The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 4, 1926
The funeral service for Stephen McGown was attended from the residence of his 
daughter, Mrs. Charles Reasoner, at Palo Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  
Rev. Rood, of the Palo Methodist Episcopal church, conducted the service.  The 
bearers were all relatives and were Charles Tabert, Henry Tabert, Frank 
Tabert, and Charles Kellogg.  The Masonic lodge of Hubbardston had charge of 
the service at the Hubbardston cemetery, Mrs. McGown being a member of the 
order there.  Those from away to attend the service were Mrs. Susan Hartley of 
Jackson; Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Ypsilanti, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kellogg of 
Lansing.
