She was born on Dec. 11, 1927, in Ionia County, the daughter of Sidney and Agnes (Miller) Campbell. Fern spent many years as a resident of Carson City, and was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. Before retiring, she as a self-employed seamstress, making everything from wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses to baptismal gowns and miscellaneous alterations for many people and local organizations. Fern loved her daily morning trips to have coffee with her close friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack McGraw; parents; stepchildren, Dennis, John, and Roger McGraw; brother, Max Campbell and sisters, Dorothy Seiler, Marie Vining and Alice Youngs. Surviving are her daughters, Sue (Robert) Brooks, Bonnie (Bradley) Cornelius, Nancy (Robert Bottecher) Baker, son, Michael (Peggy) Baker; stepsons, Pat (Robin) McGraw, Phil (Coleen) McGraw, Dan McGraw; brothers, Gordon (Joan) Campbell, Archie (Mary) Campbell, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held later this spring in Carson City.
