McGunn of Lansing, a former resident of Ionia, died at St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing, Sunday morning. March 17, after submitting to two major operations. Mary E. Kilduff was born at Stanton, January 5, 1883, the eldest daughter of Sarah Hogan and Edward Kilduff. When she was 14 years old, she moved with her family to Bloomer township in Montcalm county where she lived until her marriage, April 27, 1909, to William J. McGunn of North Plains township. Mr. McGunn died May 23, 1925. She was familiarly known as "Mayme" McGunn. She was a faithful member of SS Peter and Paul church in Ionia and of the Rosary society and Daughters of Isabella of that parish. She is survived by two daughters, Marian Mumaw of Greenville, and Rosetta Magley of Lansing; two granddaughters, Darlene Ann Magley and Mary Carolyn Mumaw one sister, Mrs. Thomas Grace of Carson City, one brother Edward Kilduff, of Ionia and an aunt and uncle, Mary E. and John E. Hogan of Hubbardston. Funeral services will be held from St. John the Baptist church in Hubbardston Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Beahan will sing the requiem high mass. Bearers will be her nephews, Carroll Kilduff, Edward and James McKrone, John Dwyer, Edward O'Neil and John McGunn. Thursday, March 21, 1940 Funeral service for Mrs. Mary E. McGunn, 57, former Ionia resident who died Sunday morning March 17, in the St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, were conducted from the St. John the Baptist church in Hubbardston. Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Behan sang the requiem high mass. Bearers were six nephews, Carroll Kilduff, Edward and James McKeone, John Dwyer, Edward O'Neil and John McGunn. Those attending the services from Ionia were Mrs. Patrick Beahan, Robert Beahan, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Haight, Jr., Dorothy Haight, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kilduff, and family and Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Quinn.
