Hard-Working Woman. A Kind Friend and Neighbor. For nearly thirty years Mrs. Lizzie McIntyre, wife of the late Samuel McIntyre, made her home in Lake Odessa. She and her husband ran the laundry here for many years. Previous to that he ran a market with James Scheidt at the present location of the Scheidt’s hardware, and before coming here we understand he worked in a bank at Sunfield. After Mr. McIntyre’s death about seven years ago the deceased lived in her home on Fifth avenue. The year of 1930 she spent with Mrs. Mary Burke in the Burke hotel. One year ago this fall after the death of her sister in Carlton with whom she spent some time she went to the home of her nephew H.G. Barber at Galesburg where she died Wednesday morning. The body was brought to Lake Odessa and the funeral will be held at the Methodist church here Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. McIntyre leaves a sister in Hastings, a step-son Dr. C.S. McIntyre and sons Dr. Kenneth of Hastings and Dr. Charles McIntyre of Ann Arbor, another stepson Bernie McIntyre and children Mary and Hollis of Carlton. There are three other nephews and one niece. Mrs. McIntyre was a hard-working woman and a kind and generous neighbor, always doing little acts of kindness.
