Mrs. McKee was in Kalamazoo asylum, came home on leave of absence ten years ago, and never returned. Her insanity was of a mild type, and her husband took care of her, she doing most of the work around the house, and the two living alone. On Friday, some of the neighbors went into their house and found Mr. McKee helpless on the floor, from a paralytic stroke, which it was judged from the general appearance of things must have occurred about 36 hours before. Mrs. McKee’s mental condition did not afford many recourses in a case of emergency like this, but she realized that the room must be kept warm, and she had burned up pretty nearly all the furniture in her efforts in this direction. Friends at once took the case in charge. She was brought here, and placed in charge of sheriff until hearing could be had; and arrangements were made for giving Mr. McKee all necessary care. Mr. McKee, who is 73 years old, died on Monday afternoon, while his wife was on the way to asylum. Funeral was held at Easton church Thursday afternoon, and interment was in Easton cemetery.
