Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Dec 1945

Funeral services for Fred C. MeKee, 62, former resident of Detroit and for a time a
ticket taker at the Ionia theater, who was found dead of a heart attack in front of
the furnace at his home Wednesday, were held from the Myers funeral home, Sunday,
December 23, at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Dwight Kitch officiating.  Interment was at
the Balcom cemetery.

Bearers were Basil Wedderburn, Clifton Sayers, C.F. Sutton, M. Holland and Harvey
DeLine.
