The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 7, 1942


Mrs. Anna McKeel, 71, of Los Angeles, California and formerly Mrs. Anna 
Birdsall of Ionia, died Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Everett Smits of 127 Ridgewood St., SE, Grand Rapids.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Smits; one son, William Birdsall of 
Detroit; three granddaughters and one grandson; a sister, Mrs. Cecil Schultz 
of Eaton Rapids; a brother, Douglas Scott, of Sandusky, Michigan.

Mrs. McKeel will repose at the Sullivan funeral home, Grand Rapids, until 
Monday morning when she will be taken to Mancelona, her girlhood home, where 
funeral services will be held Tuesday.  Burial will be in Mancelona cemetery.
