Dorothy Miller was born on a farm seven miles north of Fowler, on 9/28/1932 to Irene Mae (Slocum) and Leo Edward Miller. She wsas the sibling of Raymond, Roman, Lawrence, Clement, Robert, William, Mary Lou (Jorgensen), Catherine (Weir), and Lorena (Fleming. She was brought at a young age to St.Vincent's Home for Children in Detroit after her father died in January 1933. She returned to live with her family in Grand Ledge as a young teenager. She married Kenneth Leroy McDiarmid on 2/26/1949 (he died 8/24,1989). She birthed eight children, Marsha Kay Thomas, Danny Niles (Sandy Kay Canfield), Ronald Leroy (Marlene Sandborn), Barry Scott (Teresa Pash), Timothy Patrick (died 5/3/1968), Teresa Carol (Randy Ratcliff), Sandra Sue (Robert Munsters), and Cheryl Renee (Bill Binder). She married Everett McKeeman on 6/21/1996. (he died 7/6/2002). She has numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand kids, great grand kids, all of whom will mourn the loss of her wonderful presence. The single most common remark in response to her death was of her sweet spirit. Our Mom was the definition of love. 1 Cor 12:4-7. Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Elara Caring Hospice Foundation, Covenant House, or Christ Child House. Visitation at one hour prior to the Celebration of Live service, on Friday, Oct.1, 2021. A luncheon will follow the Celebration of Life Service. All services ere held at the Sunfield United Brethren Church. Graveside services were immediately following the luncheon at Sunfield Cemetery.
