Ionia Daily Sentinel, 20 Nov 1916

Robert McKendry, an ?? and widely known resident of Easton township died 
Saturday evening at 7:30 at the home where he had been confined to the bed for 
several days as the result of a fall.  Mr. McKendry had not been in good health 
for several years and the fall which occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 
Elmer Cowan, is thought to have hastened his last illness although it was not 
the cause of his ill health.  He was 75 years of age and had always been a 
leading spirit in his locality.  The funeral was attended from the residence, 
302 Harter street, this afternoon and burial in Easton cemetery.  He leaves 
three children, Mrs. Ed. Bradford, Mrs. Elmer Cowan and John McKendry.
