The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Frederick "Fred" J. McKenna, of Ionia, age 67, passed away suddenly on Friday, 
March 28, 2008. He was born on May 24, 1940 in Indianapolis, Ind. the son of 
Robert and Elsie T. McKenna. Fred is retired from the Motor Wheel Corp after 
30 years of service and was the manager of the Evergreen Trailer Park for five 
years. He was a great family man, his granddaughter, Ashley was the apple of 
his eye. Fred was an avid Indiana basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James McKenna and sisters Pat 
Criscillies and Agnes McKenna.

Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Marlene; daughter, Donna McKenna; 
granddaughter, Ashley McKenna; siblings Mary Lentz, Esta Dearduff, Peggy 
Ritter, Albert McKenna, Robert (Mary) McKenna, Harry (Mary) McKenna and George 
McKenna; mother-in-law, Ruth VanHouten and sisters-in-law Karen (Charles) 
Darling and Carol Wiodarczak.

Gravesides Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Sunset 
Memorial Gardens, Ionia. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made 
to the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Ionia.
