June 5, 2020 Excerpts from Obituary Lewis Matthew McKenna died June 3, 2020-age 92 in Lansing, MI. Born November 15, 1927 in Hubbardston, MI., son of Margaret & George McKenna. U.S. Army Veteran of Korean Conflict & WW II. Retired from Sears as an electrician after many years of service. A member of St. Therese Church, Knight of Columbus #788, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #1039, American Legion #182 of Hubbardston & VFW Post #701. Enjoyed hunting, fishing watching sports, gardening, family, but mostly he loved playing music. He played in several local bands, & was know for his yodeling talent. Surviving are his children, Mathew (Tammy Manns) McKenna, Karen King, Kevin (Kim) McKenna, Kelly Malloy, Mary Ellen Wilson and Shannon McKenna; grandchildren, Justin, Shawn, Robert, Rachael, Nicholas, Joseph, Megan, Michael, Chelsea and Taylor; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gene (Bonnie) and Buddy (Joan) McKenna; many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor "Pat" (2006), daughter, Karleen Margaret (1997), parents, 12 sisters & brothers. Visitation Sunday June 7, from 4-8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI. Funeral Liturgy at 11 am Monday, June 8, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W Randolph St., Lansing, MI., with Father John Fain presiding. Rite of committal at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
