McKenney, 53, passed away Sept. 18, 2002. She was born in Kettering, Ohio Jan. 26, 1949 the daughter of Maurice and Louise (Wright) Wogaman. Mrs. McKenney was a speech therapist for the Portland Public Schools and Portland St. Patrick's Catholic Schools, and taught at various levels helping kids. She valued and treasured all of her students, each one of her students were special to her. Sue started a career with Mary Kay and was well respected around the state. She loved quilting and teaching others to quilt. She was an avid gardener and cook. She will be greatly missed by her family, which was her number one priority in life. Preceding her in death is her mother Louise C. Wogaman. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Stephen; sons, Patrick (Sarah) McKenney of Holland and Colin McKenney of Eagle; father Maurice (Joyce) Wogaman of Grand Rapids; several nieces, nephews, brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Ed Filter, Pastor Sept. 21 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Portland. Interment followed at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. Contributions may be made to the St. Andrew Lutheran Church in memory of Sue A. McKenney.
