Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Jan 1939

Death claimed Mrs. Alice E. McKimball on her 68th birthday Friday morning, 
January 27, when she died at her home in Palo at 3 o’clock following a several 
weeks illness.  She had been confined to her bed several days.

Mrs. McKimball the daughter of the late James and Eunice Graham was born in 
Bloomer township, Montcalm county, January 27, 1871.  She had lived most of her 
life in the Palo vicinity.  Her late husband, Oscar McKimball preceded her in 
death in 1935.

Surviving are a son, Stanley, L. Luce of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a sister, Mrs. 
Mary Reimer of Palo; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Graham of Palo; three nieces, 
one nephew, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The body will repose at the Stebbins funeral home in Ionia until Monday 
morning, January 30, at 10 o’clock when the body will be taken to the Palo 
Baptist church.  Funeral services will be conducted from the church Monday 
afternoon, at 2 o’clock with interment in the Palo cemetery.
