Ionia Sentinel--Standard - Sat. July 1, 1978

LAKE ODESSA- Mrs. Emma G. McKinley, 81, of 1032 MacArthur street, died Friday 
at the Richview Manor in Kalamazoo, where she was a patient since January, 1978.

She was born February 21, 1897 in Norris City, Illinois, the daughter of 
William and Henrietta Boyd.

She married Charles McKinley in 1918 I Evansville, Illinois. He preceded her in 
death in 1957.

The couple owned and operated a restaurant in lake Odessa for many years, 
having moved to the village in 1937.

Mrs. McKinley was an active member of the Congregational church. She was a life 
member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Lake Odessa Women's 
Club. 

Survivors include two sons, Donald of portage and Robert of Stevensville; six 
grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services are Monday at 1 pm from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in lake 
Odessa with Rev. Gary Evans officiating. 

Burial in in Lakeside cemetery.
