Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 May 1973

Doris Benedict McKouen, 50, of Lansing, former resident of Ionia, died at St. 
Lawrence hospital in Lansing Wednesday following an extended illness.

Surviving are her husband, James, two sons, David of Pottersville and Douglas 
at home; daughter, Mrs. Susan Walters of Lansing, and one grandson; sister, 
Mrs. Beverly Saggemeier of Lansing and a brother, Barton Benedict of Grand 
Rapids.

The body is at Jessen funeral home at 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing, where rosary 
will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 
a.m. at St. Gerald Catholic church on West Willow, Lansing.
