Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Jan. 24, 1931


Jay A. McLaren, 60 at the home of his son, Russell, in Grand Rapids, Sunday 
morning at 10 o’clock after a long illness. He was a former Ionia resident. 
During his boyhood he lived in Ronald Township on the farm now owned by Stanley 
Haskins.

Besides his son, he leaves a daughter, Sarah, of Ionia, living with Mr. and 
Mrs. Frank Baker; a brother, William of Muir, and his sister, Mrs. Frank Baker, 
Lafayette Street.

The funeral services will be conducted from the Green___ Funeral home in Grand 
Rapids Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock. The interment will be made in the North 
Plains Cemetery.
